Vail’s Highest Price Per Square Foot
The highest ppsf previously sold in the Vail Golf Course area and was a home sold at $17,250,000 at $2,050 ppsf. In addition, there are 12 other homes priced at $2,500,00 which went under contract since the beginning of March – five of which are in the $4M-$7M range. As a footnote, the Vail Golf Course/Spraddle Creek neighborhoods combined, saw an increase of an average price from approximately $2,217,00 in 2017 to $6,016,000 in 2018. Beaver Creek also has an increase of 100% in single family homes sold from 10 in 2017 to 20 in 2018.
Colorado Economic Report
I love to dig into the numbers and this month is no exception. The following is an overview of the Colorado Economic Report provided by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty. The Consumer Confidence Index for 2017 in Colorado was 155 vs 144 in 2018. Even though a slight decline, anything over 100 is considered a healthy and strong confidence level. As I have stated previously, the Vail Valley has moved from a primary resort driven area to a more diverse year-round community. With more remote positions available in the workplace, it has allowed many more opportunities for people to choose a lifestyle oriented living environment. Click here to see the full report.
Scheduled closing of Vail Mountain is Sunday, April 21st but there are still plenty of events happening prior to then, including the popular Taste of Vail, April 3rd-6th. When the mountain closes, the fun and activities continue! The locals and visitor’s spring season favorite is the ever popular Vail Restaurant Week coming May 26th-June 2nd.
