October 2017 saw the largest number of real estate transactions in a given month thus far this year, totaling 239; this brings the year to date transactions to 1,790, 7 percent higher than last year’s year to date of 1,679 transactions. August of 2017 has the second highest number of transactions thus far with 226.
October 2017 dollar volume totaled $236,857,374 accounting for the third highest volume month in 2017. This is 15 percent over last year’s October. Year to date totals through October are $1,893,419,706 for 2017 compared to $1,502,650,702 for 2016.
Year to date these sales reflect a buyer profile of over 70 percent of sales coming from the local and front range of Colorado; over 27 percent of buyers from out of state (domestically); and one percent from international buyers.
Year to date there have been 691 single family home sales; 724 multi-family home; and 170 residential vacant lots that have sold.
There were 17 new home sales throughout Eagle County in October, ranging in prices from just under $300,000 for a Two Rivers Village single family home, to a condominium located in The Lion in Lionshead that sold for $4,250,000.
There were two sales over $5M in October with the highest sale a home in Beaver Creek selling for $7M.
