Eagle County real estate stays strong in March with $172,707,975 in total dollar volume; a 9% increase over last March. This brings the first quarter volume up 25% over last year. Transactions were also up with 153 sales in March and 375 sales through the first quarter.
High end sales contributed to much of March’s dollar volume with 5 sales over $5M; the highest was a sale in Vail Village for $8.6M. This brings the year to date total to 11 sales over $5M.
Eagle and Gypsum again had the most number of sales in March with 18 and 15, while Edwards had 13 sales and East Vail and Beaver Creek both had 12. Bachelor Gulch had 3 sales that averaged $4.6M; the highest volume of any area.
While the majority of Eagle County buyers (52%) in 2017 have been locals, the out of state market that has increased this year with 35% of the sales coming from outside Colorado. Of the 120 out of state sales this year, 33 of them have come from Texas.
