I Missed Vail’s Opening Day!
I missed it! November 12th marked the opening of Vail Mountain – one the earliest opening days in recent history – and I wasn’t here for it. But, I was lucky enough to be invited to participate in a Member-Guest Golf Tournament at the Nanea Golf Club in Hawaii. It was such an incredible experience, but I was ready to get back to my mountains, the snow and my clients!
I’ve closed on two properties so far this month and another closing today, and with the kick-off of ski season, I anticipate the momentum continuing. Don’t forget, whether selling or buying, I have my finger on the pulse of the market and continuously stay on top of properties that are coming to market or newly listed. If you’re looking in a specific neighborhood or for a certain property, let me be your eyes and ears on the ground. Staying proactive is still an advantage in this current climate.
See you soon!

“Shouldn’t I Wait To Buy A Home?”
I am asked this question every day, so I wanted to answer it with my top 5 reasons why you shouldn’t wait to buy (or sell) if you’re ready. Once you have financing in order and you find a property that suits you, don’t miss your opportunity! Below are my top 5 reasons why Vail Valley real estate will always be in demand.
#1 – Physical Expansion Is Limited
Eagle County is mostly comprised of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) or United States Forest Service (USFS) land. While this is crucial to keeping our lifestyle intact, it also leaves little room for physical expansion, meaning that there is always going to be a demand for real estate in this area.
#2 – Rethinking Their Lifestyle
The COVID era has not only shifted peoples’ priorities in terms of their personal time, but it has also led to city-bugs flocking to small, mountain towns to re-assess what lifestyle they want to live.
#3 – The Workplace Is Changing
As we move further and further into a technologically dependent society, more and more people are being offered work-from-home positions which is incredibly enticing to those who value an outdoor lifestyle. The flexibility and benefit of being able to work from anywhere with an internet connection has put small, resort towns on the map in a whole new way.
#4 – Easy Travel Destination
Over the past 5 years, a significant investment has been made into making the Eagle County Regional Airport / Vail Valley Jet Center a hub for easy domestic travel. During peak visiting seasons, our regional airport offers many non-stop flights to and from some of our largest feeder markets (Texas, Florida and Chicago), which makes the idea of living in the Vail Valley even sweeter.
#5 – Year-Round Lifestyle
After the “mountain resort surge” in 2020, the market has reacted as we would expect with a low inventory, high sales volume trend in 2021. However, we can look back at history and know with confidence that the unique aspects of small, mountain resort towns will always equate to a demand for real estate there. In the Vail Valley, we truly experience all four seasons and the summer season is just as wonderful as the ski season (if you know, you know)!
