Do you know what our community is up to lately?
Here are some projects, charity events, and a community collective movement happening throughout Eagle County. For example, a partnership between Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley and Eagle County Schools is the nation’s first of its kind. The two groups will break ground this week on 12 homes aimed at district employees. Read the article here.
Benches, a group of local non-profits, have partnered with the business community to bring a functional public art exhibit to the Main Street Mall in Avon, June 13th-July 19th. The ribbon cutting is Thursday, June 13th from 5:30pm-7pm in Possibility Plaza. For more information go to benchesproject.com.
We are blessed to live in this mountain lifestyle, and we also have the camaraderie of a tight-knit community. Yet, we still are not immune to what has become a challenge throughout our nation, mental health. Vail Health has recently committed $60M in funding over the next 10 years to help transform behavioral health services throughout the Eagle River Valley and to the Hope Center’s crisis response work in Eagle County. Our community truly continues to enhance our lifestyle in all ways possible.
As far as real estate activity goes, here is a snapshot for April.
There have been 13 sales over $3 million since April 1st! Six of those sales were in April, and seven so far for the month of May, including the highest priced sold of $9,850,000 on the Vail Golf Course, which was $2,233 price per square foot (ppsf) – the highest ppsf ever sold in the Vail Golf Course area! Previous record high was $2,050 ppsf.
